The Christmas Gift

There were no fancy wrappings,
there were no curly bows.
But the gift that was given unto us
was beyond words anyone could compose.
♥?:*??*:?.?.?:*??*:?.?.?:*??*:?.?.?:*??*:?.♥
He wasn't purchased at the cheapest website,
nor at the finest store.
But the gift that was given unto us
everyone should adore.
♥?:*??*:?.?.?:*??*:?.?.?:*??*:?.?.?:*??*:?.♥
Appreciated to His fullest,
the world has not complied.
Instead they have rejected Him,
His love they have denied.
♥?:*??*:?.?.?:*??*:?.?.?:*??*:?.?.?:*??*:?.♥
On that first Christmas morning
He was given to us through God's Grace.
But as He has seen the world change,
there are tears upon His face.
♥?:*??*:?.?.?:*??*:?.?.?:*??*:?.?.?:*??*:?.♥
He gave everything for us,
despite our many vices.
But many do not care, they scoff, they hate,
they care not His sacrifices.

The ones He gave His life for
now celebrate Him in vain.
They take what He created
and throw it down the drain.

Despite what His people have done to Him,
He loves us just the same!
He knew how we would treat Him,
But out of Grace for us, He still came!

The debt we owe for His love and Grace
we could never repay.
It is why we all should come to Him
and in great thanks, pray.

So please, this Christmas season,
take time to remember that first gift.
He was given to us all despite whether you be
a spender or a thrift.

Christmas is not about
what you give or get.
It is a reminder to us all
that we have not seen the best yet.

Christmas is about
celebrating His great love.
It's about teaching others of the peace
that descends like a dove.

It's a peace you are freely given
by opening up your heart.
A love that is eternal
and never torn apart.

After all, He is the best
Christmas present ever!
Can anyone top that?
No, not ever!

This Christmas, as you see the fancy wrappings,
and all the curly bows,
remember you can give the gift
they would not necessarily have chose.

Tell all the world of Jesus Christ,
and that they can be forgiven!
If they celebrate Christmas for Jesus,
they will surely go to Heaven!
